Narcissism in the New Economy

Yesterday I had some communication with a business associate. In the context of what we were talking about he mentioned about a clipping service that daily tells him of where his company is mentioned in the press. That is a common activity from the past and clearly in the present. In the new economy it is nothing but narcissism.

What he should be doing is having a clipping service tell him about who has an interest in the type of services that he provides.

A brand does have value but not in a void.

What more can be said?
